Martin is our hands on MD, with over 30 years’ senior Board level experience in the marketing arena. Martin’s business philosophy is rooted in delivering excellent solutions underpinned by unrivalled client service, unfettered creative thinking, cutting edge yet robust technology and high levels of quality control.
Darron’s career started in graphic design, sitting firmly in the creative area of Breathe’s business. He has built on his in depth understanding of the production process and ultimately delivering great solutions on time and on brief, to become our Head of Client Success. With service sitting front and centre in Breathe’s business model, it’s Darron’s job to make sure we meet and manage our clients expectations and ensure they are delighted by their interactions with our team.
Sarah manages some of our most challenging projects, combining her creativity with in-depth technical knowledge and understanding; her skill is getting the best outcomes from our multi-disciplinary team. When managing projects, Sarah’s focus is keeping her eye on the “prize”, she knows it’s easy to let the technology or the creativity dominate the process and what’s actually most important is to deliver the solution.
Rute, our creative leader, is a seasoned digital designer with UX and UI baked into her DNA. Having said this, her start point is always firstly creative and secondly digital, ensuring that our technical solutions are engaging and intuitive. This guarantees target users smoothly and rapidly get to our desired destination. Rute has broad experience with many clients, including household FMCG brands, public sector organisations and educational establishments.
Shaqiel is an experienced web developer with a broad knowledge of many programming languages, CMS platforms, payment gateways and reporting tools . As a technical lead at Breathe, he is heavily involved in developing solutions and troubleshooting issues. Shaqiel is part of our Cape Town team but very much involved in all our web led projects.
Rudolph Pieterse is a seasoned graphic, web and video designer and trainer in all those fields with over 22 years of experience in the industry. His hands-on training methods is rooted in real agency practice—focused on getting designers up to speed quickly so they can hit the ground running. Rudolph has over 8 years experience in training Canva and have produced multiple courses on the software package.
Simon brings over 30 years of experience spanning digital marketing, media strategy and business development. His background in agency leadership and digital consultancy gives him a broad and commercial perspective on what makes campaigns perform. At Breathe, Simon leads our media offering, helping clients get the most from every channel through smart strategy, rigorous performance management and a focus on measurable results.
Michelle is an experienced digital marketing professional with a strong focus on e-commerce performance, customer journey optimisation and data-driven decision making. At Breathe, she supports clients across CRO, UX, on-site trading strategy and SEO — working closely with digital agencies and technical teams to improve performance and ensure a genuinely customer-first approach. Michelle also brings valuable experience in competitor analysis, NPS reporting and digital campaign execution.
Jeanine is a highly experienced digital strategist with over 12 years in the industry, specialising in developing creative and results-driven digital solutions. She has a strong background in training individuals and teams on design tools such as the Adobe Creative Suite and Canva, and more recently, has focused on teaching how to leverage AI to optimise workflows and boost productivity.
With over 20 years of experience in the graphic design industry, Marina brings a deep understanding of visual communication and creative strategy. Marina had the privilege of training individuals and businesses in industry-standard design software, including Adobe Creative Suite and Canva. Her approach to training is practical, hands-on, and tailored to meet the unique needs of each learner.
Nantha is the WordPress lead in our dev team and comes with many years of experience working on that platform and many other related plugins and integrations. Having worked globally Nantha also has experience in a number of other web frameworks, especially related to eCommerce. His wider knowledge includes Shopify, Magento and Woocommerce, additionally he is no stranger to payment gateways, shopping carts, delivery systems and many other transaction related systems.
Paul is another Breathe veteran, having joined our studio as a graphic designer many years ago, he had a desire to move into a dev role. With our support and his hard work and ambition he has developed from graphics into HTML banners and now as a great Umbraco (.NET) developer with all the other skills if we need them. Paul also works at the speed of light!
